A sponsorship between the Nickolay Dodov Foundation and Alpine County Tobacco Prevention Program enables tobacco prevention education to reach youth at the same time they are learning how to travel safe in avalanche terrain. Avalanche education and tobacco education have a shared goal to arm youth with knowledge they need to make their own decisions. Tobacco companies target youth as potential lifelong customers, enticing them with flavors that mask the taste of tobacco. Together, our programs give youth an opportunity to exercise their right to make informed decisions. 

Mountains are alive and help us thrive. Tobacco just doesn’t jive. A tobacco free lifestyle is our ticket to playing in the mountains. Our bodies take us great places, we must care about what we are putting into it. We don’t smoke tobacco, and neither should you.
